Fast Track FC vs Royal Kumapem

Stubborn Kumapem succumbs to the tactical superiority of the GIANTS

In a four-goal thriller, Royal Kumapen went home without a point. This is the second time this season that we’ve beat our opponent. Our first leg match ended 2-0 in favour of us.

We played this match at the WESCO Park instead of our traditional home grounds: Agona Astro Turf.

Fast Track Football Club pulled in 3 goals and conceded just a goal.

Yaw Boadi opened the scoresheet with his 13th-minute goal, and in the 34th minute, Raymond doubled the lead for the GIANTS. The first half ended 2-1 for the GIANTS.

After a series of noise, complaints, indiscipline, and trying to disrupt the peace of the game by our opponent, our boys showed them what they were made of, and put them where they belonged.

The second half started on a good note as Fast Track FC dominated the play – all thanks to the technical ingenuity of coach Amos Frimpong and his abled technical team.

After the game, our head coach, in a post-match discussion, stated that he was happy with the standard of play from his charges, they played according to what they planned to do on the field. He also added that his team has improved as compared to their performance in the first round of the league.

The coach reiterated his happiness about the center-back pairing and hoped they would continue their good form throughout the rest of the season.

We are currently second on the log with 15 points, 4 points behind our nemesis – Vital Stars who sits on top of the league table.

In other matches, Vital Stars won by a goal to nil against the Soccer Bullets, Riverplate also lost by one goal to two against Glorious United. Finally, Subri Royas and Bamba FC shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw game.
